Tip of the day: How to win an Online Auction?

Many blogs and internet forums have their own tutorials and tips to win online Auctions. We made a small list of the best tips so you can learn how to become a bid champion. Enjoy it!

  • Choose an intimidating user name.
  • Bid on one Auction at a time.
  • Start to bid on ‘beginner auctions' -  where only new bidders who have not won an auction before are allowed to bid.
  • Choose a limit bid you're willing to spend and not exceed this limit.
  • Do not bid until the last 10 seconds or so - Your best chance to win the auction is to get the last word in.

Penny Auction World: Understanding Online Auctions

Some people might still be confused about how Penny Auctions work.

Penny Auctions are online shopping sites which allows a person to buy a product paying a lower rate than the retail price. In most of the cases the discounts can go up to about 90% of the original price.

To be part of an Auction the user needs to purchase a bid package.
The Auction duration depends of the number of people trying to buy the product. Each new bid will reset the clock increasing the Auction time. Also for each bid the value of the product is increased by a penny. The last bid before the time limit is reached wins the product.

The most important thing to understand before you start bidding is: The person who best administrates the bids and the Auction time, ends up winning the best deals.

E-commerce and internet security

The number of people who prefer online shopping than going to shopping centers increase every year, which makes e-commerce a very profitable way of buying and selling products. In 2009 the e-commerce profit in the USA was around 155 billion dollars!

Americans have appreciated  shopping by distance for over 250 years, when the first printed shopping catalogs were launched. After the internet launch, the companies started to put their catalogs on websites and the begining of the e-commerce was immediate.

However, e-commerce sellers cannot forget the most important aspect of online shopping: safety. Statistics say 35% of online purchases are not completed because some people are still afraid of giving their credit cards information to a website. The online shopping websites need to have in mind that security and reliability are key points to a successful e-commerce.

That's why you can trust in BidPlayers.com: the protection of your data is very important to us. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your information when you access our site.

So what are you waiting for? Go to BidPlayers.com and sign up for our launch deals!

Penny Auctions World: Online Auctions as a e-commerce option

Online auctions, collective purchasing, online outlets. There are so many innovations in electronic commerce that consumers have no excuse for paying more. E-commerce continues its unstoppable growth rate and the Penny Auctions market has grown with the online shopping growth.

Penny Auction sites have been available in the U.S since 2008 and they have attracted a devoted following. There are many internet blogs where Auction lovers can share strategies and testimonials.

Some people resist trying an online auction because they think it is a form of gambling. However the Washington state attorney general's office concluded Penny Auctions don't constitute gambling under state law. It is looking into whether they meet the legal definition of lotteries, which are regulated.

Whether being considered an entertaining way to purchase products or a very serious competition with a great prize, Penny Auctions are a growing market and they have become one of the most popular e-commerce options around the world.

Penny Auctions World: Brazil

We will start a new segment on the blog: The Penny Auctions World. Anytime we hear any news about online Auctions in different countries we will share it with you. The first country we will talk about is Brazil.

The pioneers of the idea in Brazil were Sylvio Avilla and Guilherme Pizzini. They decided to start this business in the country after Sylvio Avilla went to Germany and learned about this new kind of e-commerce. In 2008 they launched the first Penny Auctions site in Brazil, Olho no Click ("looking at the click"). After that the Penny Auctions fever completely swept the country.
With the help of two other partners they launched Olho no Click in 2008 with a budget of about 270.000 dollars and the success was immediate. By the begining of 2011 the website had already 400.000 customers, after achieving a profit of about 2.5 million dollars in 2010.

In 2012 Brazil has 121 Penny Auction sites. Despite the fact that only 43 of them are active, the brazilian online Auctions market expects for this year a profit of about 21 million dollars (same profit achieved in 2011).
